Preventing and responding to tornados, fires, and other natural disasters requires engaging a community of experts and citizens. The same is true when mitigating cyber risk and responding to cyber events. Many types of experts and partners are needed – and they aren’t all in IT.

Using “sanitized” real world examples of threats and cyber events, we’ll discuss who needs to be involved and when – to protect an organization from cyber threats and be prepared to respond to threats. Players in the drill will include roles in finance, legal, internal and external technology providers, federal and local agencies, and insurance companies.
Learning Objectives:

  • Awareness of resources and partnerships to develop or acquire BEFORE an event occurs
  • Awareness of the financial, legal, and regulatory implications of experiencing a cyber breach and how an organization chooses to respond to the breach.
