The payments system continues to evolve at an unprecedented pace. This presentation will provide attendees with an overview of recent and upcoming developments in the world of payments. Legacy systems, the ACH network and wire transfers, remain “tried and true,” while Zelle® and The Clearing House’s Real Time Payments (RTP®) network have continued to grow. Since July 2023, the Federal Reserve’s much-anticipated FedNowSM instant payments service has launched and is being adopted among banks of all sizes. Attendees will learn more about the current standing and future plans of these various networks, as well as recent development in credit and debit card and mobile payments, as well as fraud and security.
